Meet Dr. Mathieu Hill (Kirksville, MO)

Mathieu Hill, O.D., earned his Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Andrew Taylor Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021 and his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Pre-Clinical from the University of Central Florida in 2015.

Dr. Hill’s path to optometry began with a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Early in his training, he had his first chance to look into the human eye through a slit lamp. The experience left a lasting impression, and he describes it as “like an astronaut gazing at the Earth,” amazed by the intricate fibers of the iris and the gentle rhythm of the pupil.

What Dr. Hill values most about being an optometrist is the opportunity to combine advanced technology with genuine human connection. He appreciates building long-term relationships with his patients and finds great reward in helping them see more clearly so they can fully experience the world around them.
